Our Staff

We pride ourselves on our experienced and compassionate staff...

Kristin has been working in the veterinary field for the past 11 years, and has been an integral part of the Brookswood management team since opening. She enjoys helping to guide the growth and trajectory of the practice.

Kristin always puts the focus and priority on the animal, and is a strong advocate for the underdog (of any species).

Central Oregon has always been Kristin's home and she cannot imagine living anywhere else with her pack of 6 dogs.

Jessica's background is in wildlife biology, and she has worked with a variety of animals and establishments since 1997.  She has enjoyed working in veterinary medicine both assisting in back and with clients up front.  Jessica has been with Brookswood since opening, and she is a level and calm presence at the front desk.

Jessica enjoys being part of the community and participating in any and all outdoor activities.

Heather has been working in the veterinary field, in all roles, for over 20 years. Her twin teenage boys keep her busy with competitive basketball games year round, and her family also enjoys skiing, biking, tennis and pretty much anything outdoors. The family has two dogs and four cats.

Heather particularly enjoys supporting clients through difficult times, and her experience and confidence in her role makes clients feel comfortable as soon as they walk in the door.

Lynn is one of our awesome receptionists here at Brookswood, and we are so glad to have her sunny personality at the front desk.

During Lynnís free time you will see her playing a variety of sports, hiking and taking care of her two young sons. You can see her on the field helping Coach her oldest sonís sports and having fun being a ďTeam MomĒ. She also is an avid reader and helps volunteer with pets and people when time allows.

Certified Veterinary Technicians

Lisa is our Lead Technician. She obtained her CVT in 2007 while working for Dr. Bolinger at Blue Sky Veterinary Clinic.  Her previous experience included working for a multi-doctor 24 hours Emergency Hospital in Sonoma County Ca for 6 years. She still occasionally moonlights at the emergency clinic up here to get her fix ;).

Lisa's main interests are anesthesia and animal behavior. She takes pride in taking care of your pets as if they were her own, and modifying handling to fit their individual needs.

Outside of work Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, camping & riding horses. She also is the leader of a small 4H horse group and enjoys dedicating her time to share 4h with the kids.

Certified Veterinary Technicians

Jenna is one of our certified veterinary technicians. Her special interests include anesthesia, and she is very attentive to our anesthetized patients. Jenna has a special way with the scared dogs that come in to our office. Jenna and her rescue dog Ruby enjoy hiking and local adventuring.

Risa has been working in the veterinary field since 2004. Her interests include camping, horseback riding, traveling, and generally spending time outdoors.  She lives in Bend with her husband, their herd of 5 tiny dogs and 3 horses. Risa's extensive experience in the field is very helpful when we need a skilled quick blood draw on a fractious kitty or a wiggly pup.

Veterinary assistant

Sandy has been in the veterinary world for many years. She is not only experienced with pets, but is also a skilled and licensed wildlife rehabilitator. She lives in Redmond with her husband and two hound dogs. Brookswood is very lucky to have her on our team!

Lee comes to us from Texas, where he worked at an emergency veterinary clinic. Although his veterinary skills are excellent, it is Lee's sense of humor that we value the most. He is a gem!

Amy has been with our practice from the beginning but recently has been working only a few days a month as she is a new mom to an adorable baby boy.

On her days at work we all enjoy her sense of humor and energetic personality.

Jazzmyn went to school for marine biology and scientific diving. After working at aquariums in both the diving and animal husbandry departments, she found a love for the medical science behind animal husbandry. She moved into the veterinary field to learn more about mammals and mammal medicine. Since then, she has found a passion for small animal practice, which is definitely to our benefit as she has made a great addition to our team.

Larissa was born and raised in Bend, OR. She is a recent OSU grad, and majored in animal science (pre-vet). She enjoys hiking and kayaking with her two adorable herding breed dogs. Larissa is calm and relaxed around animals, has great technical skills, and has fit right into our Brookswood team from day 1. We are very happy to have her on our staff.
